I've never done a tag post before but I saw this one over at Blonde Ambition and thought it looked like a good 'un!
1. What is your morning beauty routine?
When I wake up I use my Clinique cleansing brush (review here); although some mornings I will use my Simple Facial Wash Gel instead. This is followed by Simple Facial Toner and Nivea Moisturising Day Cream. If I have any spots then I'll dab a bit of Sudocrem on them,
2. What's for breakfast?
Being in catered halls at University means that I usually go for a cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs, beans and hash browns. However, when I'm at home I have Special K instead!
3. Coffee or tea?
Tea - only green tea! I'm not a massive tea drinker but when I do I stick to green tea.
4. How long does it take to get out the door?
If I'm rushing and going for a minimal makeup look then about 20 minutes, otherwise I take about 40 minutes to get ready.
5. What is your go-to makeup look on a fuss-free morning?
This usually happens when I don't have time to be fussy! I'll have my Benefit The POREfessional primer (review here), Nars Sheer Glow foundation (review here), Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, Benefit They're Real mascara, and Benefit Rockateur blusher.
6. What is your evening beauty routine?
I use my L'Oreal Micellar Water (review here) to remove my makeup, followed by my Clinique cleansing brush to give my face a thorough clean. Then I use my Simple Facial Toner and Simple Night Cream.
7. Snack time! What's in the bowl?
I usually go for a few biscuits but as there's an Esso across the road from my University accommodation I'm sometimes tempted by the Subway!
8. How do you wind down and prep for bed?
I try to read before I go to bed - whether it's a book or a magazine. However, I'll sometimes scroll through social media instead.
9. Cozy up! What are you wearing to sleep?
I love Primark PJs the most! The soft fluffy ones with the cuffed ankles are the PJs you'll normally find me in.
10. What are some things you must do before hitting the hay?
I make sure I set an alarm so that I get up in time for breakfast, and I'll also take one last look at Twitter and Instagram!
I hope you like this tag post and if you do one of these yourself then let me know in the comments below so I can take a look at it.

I've been on the hunt for a new face mask for some time now. Origins Clear Improvement face mask sounded perfect for my skin as its main selling point is to clear pores. This face mask is slightly pricier than the face masks I usually buy (it cost £23!) but it's also more effective at improving my skin compared to the cheaper face masks I have tried.
Origins recommend using Clear Improvement once a week, however, if my skin is bad then I use it twice a week instead. I use warm water to open my pores and then apply this face mask. Leaving this face mask on for about 10 minutes gives it enough time to dry and allows the ingredients to get to work. The Active Charcoal draws out dirt from pores, the White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, and the Lecithin dissolves impurities. Although Clear Improvement has not made my pores invisible, they have definitely reduced in size. Furthermore, if I have a spot on my face and put this face mask on top of it then the spot seems to clear up quicker than when I don't use this face mask - result! I have quite oily skin and I find that Clear Improvement reduces how oily my skin is without drying it out completely.
Clear Improvement is a face mask that I will continue to use as it has delivered some impressive results so far. Have you tried any of the Origins face masks?

All of my posts so far have been reviews of products I have purchased, but I thought I would try something a bit different in 2016 and do monthly favourites posts to share with you what I've been loving throughout each month.
Firstly, a New Year's resolution of mine was to be more active (I'm trying to exercise at least 4 days each week) so I've been wearing my Nike Free Run trainers a lot this month. These are by far my favourite trainers that I own because they're very comfortable and lightweight.
Another New Year's resolution I made was to read at least one book each month. When I was younger I read nearly every day so I'm trying to get back into the habit of reading regularly. The Girl on the Train is a psychological thriller about a girl, Rachel, who catches the same train every morning and starts to feel like she knows two of the people that live in one of the houses that the train passes, however, one morning something is different. Once you start reading this book you won't be able to put it down!
Hair masks are a product that I definitely don't use often enough. I'm always straightening or curling my hair so the Lee Stafford FiX IT TREaTMENT sounded like the most appropriate hair mask to go for as it's aimed at damaged hair caused by styling and colouring. This mask leaves my hair feeling softer and stronger. It also enables me to carry on styling my hair without worrying than I'm severely damaging it.
The Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush could be the best skincare investment I have ever made! It removes all traces of makeup to leave my skin feeling cleaner than it ever has before (full review here).
I've already shared with you my obsession for MAC lipsticks so when I walked past a MAC store a few weeks ago it was inevitable that I would be coming home with another MAC lipstick. I went for Patisserie which is described on the MAC website as a "sheer creamy neutral pink". This is the first lustre lipstick I have bought and I love the subtle glossy finish. Patisserie looks good when you've got strong eye makeup and don't want a strong lip too, or if you're going for a natural makeup look.
With the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette I got samples of four eyeshadow primers that Urban Decay have to offer. I noticed a clear difference in the staying power of my eyeshadow when I used the primers compared to when I didn't so I decided that it was worthwhile getting the full-sized primer once the samples had ran out. I opted for the Original Primer Potion because this goes well with any eyeshadow (whereas Sin is a shimmery primer potion). The primer promises "24 hours of wear, more vibrant colour and no creasing", and although I haven't worn eyeshadow for 24 hours (who does!?) I can definitely say that it lasts for 10 hours.
I have found my favourite perfume ever! Modern Muse. This has a floral woody scent; combining Jasmine sambac, Amber wood, Soft musk, and many more notes to create the perfect scent. A problem I constantly have with perfumes is that the scent tends to disappear about 30 minutes after I've sprayed it on. Thankfully, Modern Muse lasts for hours but also isn't overpowering.
What do you think of my first monthly favourites post? Also, let me know what your favourites are for January.
